Meet The Tavern

Founded as The Hotel Tavern in 2013, this inviting restaurant and bar quickly became a North Carolina High Country favorite. Owners Pam & Andy Guion and Beth & Sherman Lyle have always demonstrated a commitment to service and quality, turning guests into friends and making "the Tavern" a beloved Ashe County institution. Since then, the Guion and Lyle families have been joined by additional owners Kathy & Frank Hijek and General Manager Jerry Oliver. All of the owners and staff are thrilled to welcome you to The Tavern's new home.

The Tavern has adopted SteriLyte, a cutting-edge sterilization technology throughout the restaurant, kitchen and restrooms. This technology sterilizes both air and surfaces for everyone's safety. It has always been the Tavern's long-held pledge to provide creative, casual fare in an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
